How easy is it to convert a minibus in to a motor home?

Hi there, I'm keen to do some sight-seeing using a motor home, but the prices for purpose-built motor homes look like phone numbers rather than legal tender, even the small ones, so I'm thinking about converting a minibus. Obviously "conversion" could mean anything from just putting a portable loo in the back, to a full conversion. Are there any books / websites people can recommend? Anyone tried it? There are a lot of half-finished attempts on eBay, I wouldn't want mine to end up like that! My budget is about £3-4k and I am reasonable competent with a spanner. Thanks

i did my 69 bus and it was great,, really depends on how talented you are with tools,, i can rebuild a motor in a day so i have alot of experience, draw it out on paper first and see where you want to put things, for 3k though you should consider a little motorhome,, toyota makes one
why not get the van and an old 2 berth caravan fit it into the van how you want
you will get a motorhome second hand at that price.
